Documenting the mundane in a way that borders on boring, my everyday photography conveys the calmness with which I perceive my surroundings: Sometimes indifferent, mostly passive, but often moved.
Capturing movement in both natural and urban environments is one of my favorite exercises, which is part of the reason for deciding to co-found a local outdoor and media collective in early 2024: 307racingteam
Photographing people in the moment as well as taking portraits with a more conscious involvement have led to some of my most expressive images. Although I mostly stay with the inanimate, I often return to the human element as powerful subject.
Product photography is an important practice to my life as a designer, and I have always enjoyed helping my peers out by documenting their work in a professional way: Being in the studio allows me to operate in a totally different state of mind.
Ever since I have started to regularly spend time in carpentries, metal workshops, fabrication labs and all kinds of studio spaces, I have been fascinated with their individual setups, tools and procedures, all being extensions of their users.
